Catching up on my reading....

In high school and college I hated reading. There were occasional books that I enjoyed but never one that really stuck with me. Finally I picked up a book one day and decided that I was going to read it for myself, not for a grade, but for fun. I realized that once I started reading I couldn't stop. I get into a book and feel like I actually get to know the characters and their lives. I am not into the "Twilight" series, or anything of that nature, but instead I pick up a book, read the back cover and either buy it or put it back. I have read some very interesting books and I figured I would share my thoughts....

My sister bought me this book for Christmas & it took me awhile to start reading it. I wasn't sure about reading a book about being a newlywed but once I started getting into it I really enjoyed it and connected with it. It was neat to see someone else's point of view on married life opposed to being single. I really enjoyed it and once I muster up the nerve I am going to read Emily Giffin's other book about having babies...ahhh

"Walking in Circles before Lying Down" is a great book for anyone that has a dog & knows what it is like to sometimes feel like they are human. I always talk to my dogs, but in this book they actually talk back. Merrill Markoe brings the friendship between humans and dogs to life all while talking about relationships, jobs, and family. This book was a really easy read & I would recommend it to anyone.

"Hungry Woman in Paris" is the book that I am cutrrently reading. I bought it at target because it was on sale, I have to say that it is one of the best purchases I have made in a while. The beginning of this book is super hilarious and witty, but the meat of the book is much more serious. I can't wait to see what happens to the main character Canela once she finishes cooking school in France!
