Meltdown Mondays Series....

So it has been a long time since I have sat down and wrote a post for this blog, but in my defense I have had a lot going on. Holden is now three years old and Hazel is one.  Needless to say time to just sit and write is scarce.  Usually when I get down time after the kids are asleep I will pour a glass of wine and catch up on some TV shows that I have recorded.  If Nathan has the TV on lockdown with football or golf I will usually check out my favorite mommy blogs.  I sit in my pjs and scroll through the fun filled days of these stylish, super-fit, always smiling moms with their uber-chic kids at the park.  I think to myself....How in the world do they do it? Their life looks so perfet and effortless. There is never a post about temper tantrums or sleepless nights.  So I decided that in honor of all the moms, like me, that take 27 pictures just to get one decent one to instagram; the ones that spend 6 minutes getting themselves ready in the morning just to get pooped on as soon as they get out the door; and the ones that pray not to  be "that lady" with "those kids" at the grocery store, I will gladly share my experiences with you.  I have to say that my children are wonderful & I would take any crappy day with them over a fabulous day with anyone else. I cherish the crazy moments, the sleepless nights & wouldn't trade a minute of my life with them.

So instead of picture perfect outings, and reality tv stylings, I would like to share what real motherhood is all about.  The everyday.  Reality.

This is the start of getting to know me, and how I handle meltdowns & all the madness in between.

Miracle of the day... Both kids napping at the same time.

I ended today with a gob of sticky in my hair....  Thank you halloween candy. Please get out of my house.  I have already eaten all the snickers so I don't need you anymore.

the start of something new....

Well as of lately our lives have been in a sort of whirlwind.  A new business, an energetic 18 month old, & a new baby on the way!  Things have already flown by so fast in this pregnancy! I cannot believe that I am already 15 weeks along, & that we will be finding out the gender very soon.  We are so excited to be adding another little one to the family and cannot wait to meet him or her!

i want....

It is said that we spend the first half of our life accumulating possessions, and the second half giving them away. This is probably true for most people, and very true for myself.  I always catch myself looking at stuff and thinking, oh I want that, and that, and that! I ask these questions: Why do we have to have so many things we don't need? Why do we buy things only to turn around and sell them for less than half of the cost we paid for them at a yard sale?  In honor of all of the things I want, and don't need I thought I would share some of my latest finds.

Another weekend come and gone...

I want to give a big congratulations to my good friends Matt and Julie. They tied the knot this past Saturday.  The ceremony was beautiful, and the reception was a blast. I haven't had that much fun in a long time! I wish them all the happiness in the world , and I can't wait to see what the future holds for them. Happy  Honeymooning!

A little update on Holden...
I don't think it will be long before he starts crawling around the house. He is starting to push up, and army crawl to get his little hands on whatever he can find.  On a sadder note, he is getting sick again, and it breaks my heart. I am ready for some pretty weather so we can get away from being cooped up with all these germs!
